Bhard Enterprises Ltd is a property development and construction consultancy business based in Scotland. It was set up in 2019 by François Raulier, a consulting engineer with over 35 years’ experience of construction practices in the UK and abroad.

Bhard Enterprises Ltd aims to harness this wealth of construction experience to enable to creation of unique and high-quality spaces, both commercial and residential.

Our activities are focussed on two distinct areas:

• High-end residential property development.
• Strategic construction consultancy on commercial projects throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

We pride ourselves on being a design-led developer, taking our time to find the optimum solution for any given residential project. We always aim to generate the best use of space with clever and eye-catching designs.

We always collaborate with trusted design professionals and contractors. Nevertheless, we never fail to monitor construction processes very closely, right through to practical completion, to ensure that high standards of quality are achieved on all our projects.

Selection of appropriate materials and finishes are key to the process of delivering memorable projects and we spend significant time in making sure that these are elegant, durable and integrated.

Slumbay House

Slumbay House, Church Street, Lochcarron - Architect-designed four-bedroom / three-bathroom house arranged over two floors with an imposing double height kitchen / dining / living area looking out over the loch. The house was set in an elevated position, within its own landscaped grounds, using Reno mattresses, and a dedicated gravel driveway provided from the public road to a parking area suitable for three cars. A separate two-car garage was also constructed with an under-eaves platform, with electric hoist, for storage. Project designed, tendered, built and handed-over two years after site acquisition, on time and within 5% of the original construction budget.

We provide strategic construction consultancy services to support corporate clients, or professional designers, on commercial construction projects throughout the UK and mainland Europe.

For corporate clients this can include participation in:

• Key planning discussions to help establish the optimum project delivery framework required to deliver the required project outcomes.
• The development of design briefs to guide the activities of the project’s professional team.
• Design workshops to review and guide design development.
• Detailed design reviews with the preparation of comments against the original design brief.
• Contractor selection processes.
• Site meetings and site monitoring activities.
• Project closeout and final account negotiations.

For professional designers, the scope of services we can offer is broadly similar, albeit with a somewhat different focus. For these types of appointments, we would aim to provide feedback to the designers on how well they are following the client’s design brief and to act as their “eyes and ears” at strategic project and site meetings.

We are always available to attend meetings anywhere in the UK and mainland Europe given reasonable notice.
